(1st Grade Men play Sunday 27th March Vs Panthers in the "Foundation Cup". Both clubs are celebrating their 40th year and are the only two clubs who still remain from 1972.
Working Bee
On Saturday 26th March at 9am we will do a bit of a clean up / weed of the fields. If you are avaliable please come down with a few tools to help out

Registration can be completed online via the form above or come along to Emu Sports Club - Leonay Parade.
For new players it is best to attend the registration afternoon to size uniforms etc.

AGM
Emu Plains Hockey's AGM is Tuesday 15th Feb at Emu Sports Club.
This is where we make decisions for the clubs benefit for the next season, so if there is anything that you think can help our club your input is required.
We will be looking for people to fill the executive positions, coaching, managing, publicity (website) and many more.
We also decide on what our members will need to pay for the next season to play and where we will spend any money raised.
So all are both welcome and needed to come along. We do have a large club so would like to see all there.
If you can't make it and want to do something or have an input please email me so that I can take it to the meeting on your behalf.
Look forward to seeing as many as possible there, as this is for each of you.

Grand Final Update.
Congratulations to the U17's, 3rd & 1st Grade Women and the 2nd Grade Men for making the Grand Final this coming weekend.
NO ALCOHOL is to be brought into the Hockey Centre. Please read this note.
As a Club, we will be required to man the BBQ at some stage on the day. If you can please help out, it would be appreciated. Emu has been allocated 9.30am - 11.30am as our shift.

Yesterday at the Hockey Centre an announcement was made by David Bradbury that the hockey fields would be upgraded if the ALP were elected at the forth coming election. This is fantastic news.

Last night at a Hockey NSW mediation meeting an agreement was reached between WDWHA (Women's Association) & PDHA (Men's Association) to combine. This will happen in the next couple of weeks.
Details are still to be sorted and released, but should be in the next week or so.
It has been a long , hard road to get to this point and I would thank club members who have supported our Club's position to get the best for Hockey in our local area.

The 2010 AGM is to be held at 7pm on 18th February at Emu Sports Club. All positions will be declared vacant and nominations sort to run the club this season.
Registration Day is 21st February at 2pm at Emu Sports Club or registration can be completed online.

2009 Premiers!
Our U17’s played in our local PDHA Grand Final narrowly defeating Panthers with 20 seconds remaining in extra time.
Also, our 1st Reserve ladies won their Grand Final defeating Rooty Hill 2-1.
Congratulations to all players involved and thanks to all our club mates who turned out to cheer them home.

Congratulations to Brenton Osborne who was a member of the NSW U16 Mens Indoor Hockey Team that won the U16 Mens National Indoor Invitational Championships today. NSW defeated Victoria 4-3 in the final with Brenton scoring a goal.

Congratulations to Andrea Seymour who was a member of the NSW Blues U14 Indoor Hockey team that won the U14 Girls National Indoor Invitational Championships today. The NSW Blues defeated NSW 2-1 in the final.

Congratulations to Jack Quinn, Tarrin Watson, Mitchell Hanrahan, Ty Pieper and Brenton Osborne who were members of the Penrith District U17 Indoor Team that won the B Division State Championship today. Penrith defeated Sydney (2) 12-4 in emphatic style to claim the Championship. This follows on from our victory last year in C Division. To cap off a wonderful day Mitchell Hanrahan was selected in the U18 State Indoor Team for 2008. We'll done Mitch!!
